Picked white at the pre-release this weekend at DNA on Saturday. I think the commons and uncommons in white are pretty strong for limited.

I didn't open any playable bombs of note and my seeded pack had the 2/2 relic tutor if you connect. It helped that I opened another relic tutor and the equipment that gives a solo attacking creature +1/1 for each other creature you control.

Ended up with 6 or 7 two drops, several flyers including the creepy looking blessed spirits, two of 4 drop arrest enchantments and two of the green pump spell that gives your creature +1/1 for each other creature. There was some pretty solid synergy with the renown mechanic and a few cards in my top end including the angel that gives all your creatures with a counter another one and the 4 drop that gives your team +1/1 until end of turn. Also, celestial flare was pretty great.

The deck was pretty damn good. Only loss was a mistake to overextending into a languish in G3 that I hadn't seen until that point. Other than that, the deck brought the beats.

I really want to draft this set. It seems like it's going to be awesome to draft. Makes me sad I've got to miss Dallas due to other commitments.

Man that looks nice

I'm shopping for a smaller truck right now. Just today I meant with a wholesale care guy. Hopefully He can get me a ranger 4x4 2006 for 5200 TTL on Thursday

It's been a fun truck, for sure. These toyotas are light so they can get out of damn near anything. Sad to see it go but other priorities and such.

GL on the car hunt!

Been on the road for two straight weeks. Singapore. Hong Kong. Edmonton. I miss the hell out of my bed.

Quick flight story:

On the LA to Tokyo flight I has an aisle seat. Economy. 13+ hours. The result of getting booked 36 hours before the flight left. No big deal. Plane door is about to close and the middle seat is empty. Victory. Or so I thought. Down the aisle comes a family of 4. Mom and dad and daughter take seats on the opposite side of the plane. Their son takes the seat between me and my obviously disappointed row partner. Dammit. Ok, maybe it won't be so bad. Or maybe they gave this little shit that has no idea what personal space means a pot of coffee and a dose of Ritalin right before they boarded. This little fucker was in and out of his seat at least once an hour. In. Out. Gotta pee. Gotta talk to Dad. Need to walk around. Fuck. I tried catching some shut eye during the flight after our meal and a few drinks. Food coma, take me away. Only 11 more hours with this antsy fucker next to me. When I say sleep I mean eye shades, ear plugs, my cap over my eyes and my hoodie pulled up. Total 'leave me be' stance. 20 minutes into my slumber, I'm woken up be being poked in the right shoulder. You guessed it. The kid. He shoves some giant Lego thing in my face. "Hey mister, isn't this cool?!". When I say in my face i mean a millimeter from my fucking nose. Rage face. Deep breaths. Try to doze back off. A few hours pass and the twitchy shit tries to sleep. And of course he passes right out. But once he's out, begins flailing all over the place. Kicking me, my row mate and damn near the entire row in front of me (which was packed with US Women's volleyball players on their way to a match in China. I felt sorry for them, those extremely tall, hot, yoga pants wearing girls crammed into those tiny seats) for the next couple of hours. I swear I was ready to strangle this free range crotchfruit of Satan. Little bastard. But I took in deep breaths and relaxed. It's only a kid. Needless to say the next 10 or so hours was a repeat of the first three. I needed a drink. Or eleven. After we land and are trying to deplane the mom comes over and asks the kid how the flight was. "Oh, good. But these two next two me were a little annoying." LMFAO!!! The nerve! I just gave his mom a death stare. Locked eye contact for no less than 10 seconds. I was fucking irate. She quickly escorted that shit stain back with the rest of the family. But hey, I was in Tokyo now.......

TL;DR - kids shouldn't be able to sit by themselves on international fights. They suck.

On the plus side, I've gotten to see some great places, meet some good people and eat pretty damn well. On the downside, it's hard keeping up the workout routine when you're running bell to bell or trapped on long flights.

If you're ever in Singapore, eat at the marina. Order the chili crab. You won't be disappointed.

If you're ever in Alberta, get to Banff National Park. It's insanely georgous.

On to the next flight in the morning. Here's to making status and getting auto upgrades thanks to all the flying I've been doing. No more twitchy kids (I hope).

Travelling has it's ups and downs. Especially international travel. Getting used to going through multiple time zones takes a while but the payoff of getting to see cool places is worth it. Sometimes you just draw the short straw and get sat next to a less than desirable person for your travels.....

Of all the places I've been so far I like Asia the most. The difference in culture, the food, the weather and especially the eye candy. If you have a chance to go, just do it.

PS - I never realized how fat Americans were until I traveled abroad.
