Anyone want to split a .5% with me? I think I am going to start staking as a bit of a gambling investment. I want to start off smallish and I just am not willing to bet 335 on my first go at it.

I can part ways with $167.50 if he loses it all (which is highly unlikely). Naturally I expect him to win the main event since I am running hot investment wise.

vouching for drew, this is how most tourney staking works. 20% isn't an uncommon markup.

If you sell 100% of your buyins (let's pretend it is 100k for round numbers) and cash out 100k, I think it's fair to expect the person staking you to break even. In your example you are saying you are going to make money and other people are going to lose money if you cash out 100k.
stakers are the equivalent of equity holders in a business. if you wanted to get paid first, you would have to be the equivalent of a bond holder, where you got fixed returns (say 5% or 10%). lower risk -> lower expected return.

if i cash for enough, you would have to fill out a W9 to get the money, and at the end of the year i fill out a 1099 for you
