It is not the land of hypotheticals it's the land of watching that guy play his deck. Hand disruption isn't that big a deck when you draw three cards a turn off of two different howling mine affect (pulse=one vindicate..plus you can run counters).
Borderposts don't actually take up slots since they are just land slots for the most part. Anit red plan is simple, do not let torment resovle and cast a story circle that comes out of your board. Toast... who is playing toast? 5CB is as close as it gets (maybe 5C planes walkers), but those decks are not as rampant as the creature decks, plus they are beaten by said creature decks. Avoiding them in the first few rounds is actually not a bad strategy, and for those games you play the force my tezz through game and crush them anyway. Further more you can deck them with jace.

This discussion reminds me of the Dragonstorm build that finished second at Worlds.
After the event, everyone was talking about how bad that deck was, and how it would die to Primal Commands and other cards, but the fact of the matter is that it was the perfect deck for the meta. This is the same case. The Japanese player who put this deck together completely owned the field by designing a format-breaker. Of course, at some point Chapin will say itw as his idea, since aparently no one can have an idea other than him. Anyways, wow that everyone is aware of the build people will start packing hate, but I agree with ???? in that for last week, it was still a good choice, and it showed. Was Thought Hemorrhage played much/at all? Didn't see any in the top8 lists. Is it not as good as originally thought?
